Earlier this year, I released an EP with a set of Lili Boulanger's piano pieces.

Trois Morceaux pour Piano were written in 1914 in Rome, where the composer was living after winning Prix de Rome for composition. She was the first woman ever to be awarded the prize (at just 18).

Inspired by Rome’s gardens, the music takes on a deeply personal expression of joy and delight mixed with occasional dark and foreboding feelings and thoughts.
